Coal Miner’s Gravel is Southeast Kansas’ premier mixed‑surface race, starting and finishing at Downtown Frontenac, KS. Cyclists take on the historic mining roads, rolling prairie, and red‑clay grit that define the region. Expect fast hardpack, chunky gravel, punchy climbs, wide‑open views, and everything in-between.
With distances from 25 miles to 100 miles, this event welcomes first‑timers, weekend warriors, and seasoned racers alike. Aid stations are stocked, volunteers are enthusiastic, and the finish‑line atmosphere delivers pure Southeast Kansas hospitality.
